I enclose in this connection copy of a personal

letter from Major Barrett, 126th Baluchistan Infantry, who

served in the Hong Kong Regiment and knew Ismail Khan well.

Discharge Certificate.

For Hong Kong Regiment, and Hong Kong, Singapore,

Ceylon and Mauritius Companies, R.A.

This is to certify that No.518, Pte.Ismail Khan is

discharged from the Hong Kong Regiment in consequence of

disbandment of the Regiment, having served in the said Corps

15 years and 151 days, and having first received a just, full

and true account of all his pay, arrears of pay, and other

demands, from the time of his enlisting to this present date,

also clothing for the years 1901, 1902, 1903 (or compensation

in lieu of clothing, if any be due) as appears by his receipt

herein given.
